The path is well-maintained and wide, making it accessible for moderate hikers, but the visual scale is immense. You follow the cog-train tracks through alpine pastures, eventually entering the pine forests that overlook the deep Lauterbrunnen Valley, often called the 'Valley of 72 Waterfalls'.
