From the historic Schynige Platte railway station, the trail loops around the Daube viewpoint, providing staggering views over the turquoise Lake Brienz and the deep blue Lake Thun. Simultaneously, the towering white peaks of the Bernese Alps (Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau) form a jagged backdrop. The area is also famous for its Alpine Botanical Garden, containing over 700 species of high-altitude flora.
